In our school we follow the Bury RE syllabus for our lesson plans.
Across the 7 years at Cams Lane, we learn about 4 different religions:-
- Christianity
- Islam
- Hinduism
- Judaism
We explore their beliefs, festivals, places of worship and the holy books that they follow.
Learning about different religions adds to our cultural capital, so that when we go out into the world we can respect the beliefs of others and learn to live in harmony with people of different faiths.
Parents have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of the RE curriculum. However, please contact the Headteacher if this is something you are considering.
