World Book Day
World Book Day was a fantastic celebration of reading, with an amazing array of costumes on display!
From classic favourites to modern heroes, there were lots of recognisable characters filling the classrooms and corridors - hopefully, the costumes didn’t get too mucky at lunchtime! The children looked amazing, fully embracing the spirit of the day.
KS1 enjoyed a variety of book-themed activities, bringing stories to life. Meanwhile, KS2 took part in the online live BBC event, learning about different genres and sharing in the joy of reading. A highlight was when all of KS2 read together for 30 seconds - showing our love for books as one big reading community!
Our reading ambassadors delivered a selection of non-fiction library books to expand the range of books available in classrooms. These will be changed by the ambassadors every two weeks.
A huge thank you to all our parents for your support in making the day so special. It was wonderful to see the excitement and enthusiasm across the whole school!
