We have been creating our own Egyptian scrolls. First, we made papyrus-style paper by sticking strips of brown paper in gluey water, and then placing the strips of paper on top of white paper. Then, when the strips of paper had dried, we used pencils, chalk pastels and watercolour paints to create Egyptian hieroglyphics and our own signs and symbols about ourselves.
