Design Technology - Baby bear's chair
We have learnt three words which will help us to create a chair for baby bear.
Stable - it is secure and won't fall over
Strength - strong enough to hold baby bear
structure - a man-made building or statue constructed with wood, metal, plastic or brick.
First we experimented to discover the most stable
3D shape. We decided this was a cylinder. We then made cylinders from card. We balanced books on top to see how stable and strong they were. We then put all our cylinders together and one of the children sat on top. It was stable and strong as it didn't collapse. Next, we made cylinders of different sizes. We are looking forward to constructing our structures for baby bear to sit on.
